KIWANIS PRAYER WEEK: Second Full Week of May
Be mindful, Lord, of Your people bowed before You in our community and through-out the world. We ask that You would care for the infants, guide the young, support the aged, encourage the fainthearted, collect the scattered, bring the wandering to Your fold. And those whom we have forgotten, will You, Lord, remember. For you are the Helper of the helpless, the Savior of the lost, the Refuge of the wanderer, the Healer of the sick. You, who knows each man’s need and has heard his prayer, grant unto each according to Your merciful loving-kindness and Your eternal love. Let Your power, Lord, be in us all, to share the world’s suffering and to do what we can to help. Amen.

CLINIC RECEIVES GRANTS
The Children’s Clinic was the recent recipient of three grants: $20,000 from the Flow Healthcare Foundation, $10,000 from the Denton Benefit League, and $7,200 from Speedway Children’s Charities. Thanks to these organizations’ continued support, the Clinic will be able to continue serving those who need assistance, as we have done since 1925.

The Denton Kiwanis Club was chartered in December 1921. We have almost made it to a full century of serving the children of Denton County—and the world!
PATRON’S FUND DRIVE UNDERWAY
The Patrons Fund Drive is our club’s annual internal fundraiser to support the work of the Children’s Clinic. We work very hard as a club to bring in as much external funding as possible through the Taste of North Texas, the Fireworks Show, Oktoberfest on Walnut Street, and other public fundraisers. These efforts and our personal donations through the Patron’s Fund have enabled us to receive several generous grants for the Children’s Clinic. [Read more…]
